Tracked mid to large mammals in snow and dug snow pits to assess characteristics and layers.

I conducted field work across a large river system in Bristol Bay, Alaska to understand the ecological factors that contribute to the resiliency of Pacific salmon populations. Our work provided the scientific foundation for conservation efforts in Bristol Bay. My primary responsibilities included:-Interpreting and communicating results of landscape-level scientific research to journalists, commercial fishermen, and local stakeholders. -Conducting data analysis using ArcGIS, R Studio, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel-Managing all aspects of living in a remote field camp, including gear maintenance, travel logistics, outboard motor repair, cooking, cleaning, and resolving personnel conflicts.

Prepared coursework and instructed semester-long beginning climbing courses.

Head leader, responsible for participants and subordinate leaders, planned and lead outdoor excursions including cross country skiing, backpacking, and canoeing.

Maintained turf and flower beds including reseeding, weeding, and pruning. Responsible for the grounds of off campus administrative housing and event venues.

• Worked with a PhD student from the University of Washington in collaboration with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife• Tracked and collared newborn White-Tailed Deer and Rocky Mountain Elk in steep and remote terrain, took morphometric measurements.• Used radio telemetry and triangulation to locate collared animals• Performed necropsies on deceased animals to determine cause of death. • Assessed body condition of deceased study animals and opportunistic road killed animals• Deployed trail cameras and audio moths• Assisted in trapping and collaring bobcats

Analyzed soil and ice core properties, extracted and analyzed DNA and metagenomics data, cultivated various plants and analyzed their capacity to absorb toxins, assembled and managed microbial batteries.
