I am persuaded that looking for solutions to problems that affect the collective should include social engagement and a constant participation in local activities. That is why I am particularly proud of my work as an activist, which started in June 2019, when I became member of a local ActionAid base. Working with ActionAid has given me the opportunity to collaborate with local schools and institutions, getting directly involved in social issues I consider important. In addition to workshops and meetings that took place in the NGO’s headquarters in Milan, I participated in a school campaign aimed at deconstructing stereotypes and contrasting gender violence. From September 2020 I have written, planned, and implemented a course on sex education, as part of a project patronised by the municipality of my town (San Donato Milanese) and the Metropolitan City of Milan.

The ActionAid campaign Danza con Carla aimed at deconstructing stereotypes and contrasting gender violence. It involved two classes of the institute Vincenzo Benini of Melegnano (MI), with seven meetings that took from October 2019 to March 2020. I gained great satisfaction from being an educator, as I confronted teenage students on topics that feel relevant to me and witnessed their experiences first-hand.
