I manage the firm on a day to day basis. I give legal advise and representation on immigration matters, human rights, constitutional and commercial matters.We conduct legal, governance, financial and human resource audits for organisations, are registered patent agents. We are Commissioner for Oaths & Notary Publics.

The committee undertakes thematic legal clinics to people who are in need of legal services but lack resources to access justice. The committee partners with organisations that offer legal clinics as part of their day to day work and are overwhelmed by the numbers by holding a clinic where members assist in the provision of legal services. This helps the clients who would have had to wait longer in order for their claims to be heard.Prisoners benefit from clinics held by the Committee as they get legal advise on their upcoming hearings and consult on appeal processes.The committee also engages in matters that are of public interest by undertaking research and court representation.

I provide general oversight and leadership to the team. I coordinate the general functions of the organisation through formulation of strategic plans &policy proposals. I spearhead resource mobilisation and review organisational performance. I oversee budgeting and financial management processes.

I am responsible for the direction and management of Jabari-Kenya, i ensure that we achieve our motto which is developing young talent. In conjunction with the executive committee, i oversee all programs and business development, operations, planning, financial management, and fundraising needed to develop, promote, and execute Jabari-Kenya’s programs and services

Program Management -Undertake management of donor and service contracts.Strategic Development -Providing input and support to the Executive Director in the development and review of Governance and policy strategies.Coordination / External Relationships - support the maintenance of constructive working relations with Kenya government, civil society, UN agencies, bilateral and multilateral donors, partner organizations, research and higher learning institutions and the private sector. Resource Mobilisation - Develop resource strategies, identify and secure funding, develop project proposals and progress reports and tracking programme expenditure against budgets. Reporting-I take lead in preparing and/or contributing to the provision of narrative and financial reporting to donors, governments, partners and internally.

My main duties were as follows:-Responsible to the Board of Directors for formulating strategic plans and policy proposals as well as directing and coordinating the general functioning of the organization. -Responsible for implementing action plans as well as reviewing organizational performance against set targets. -Providing general oversight and leadership, and supervising programme managers.-Spearheading Resource Mobilization -Overseeing and strengthening relationships between KITUO and its strategic partners e.g., Civil society organizations, nongovernmental organizations, research institutes, and institutions of higher learning, in Kenya and elsewhere. Strengthen and expand strong ties with communities and groups, especially those experiencing or greatly at risk of political and economic marginalization.-Overseeing budgeting and financial management processes for KITUO activities.-Responsible for the execution of KITUO Policies, procedures and internal controls and support compliance with Donor procedures and requirements -Act as the Secretary to the KITUO Board of Directors

Advising the Law Society of Kenya Council on all issues relating to gender and children and particularly law reform, Promote the equitable participation of men and women in the legal profession; Promote the concerns of members within the legal profession and to encourage the economic and social empowerment of men and women both in the legal profession and in the larger society.To advice the Council on all issues relating to child law and also look into other matters affecting the welfare of the children.

I run a program on forced migration that is funded by UNHCR Kenya, where we attend to refugees, asylum seekers, stateless persons and returnees. I am in charge of 20 employees in our Nairobi and Mombasa offices. I undertake program management, strategic development, coordination and external relations, resource mobilization, budget management and reporting. Aside from the management duties, I implement the program by ensuring that set donor targets are met. I attend court, train police officers and students on forced migration matters and facilitate at capacity building meetings for various stakeholders and organise community forums for refugee clients.

My duties were to conduct community mobile legal aid clinics, Conduct community sensitization campaigns, Conduct research to build evidence base that informs litigation strategies, creating legal awareness and education to refugees and asylum seekers in protection matters, counseling and sensitizing refugee communities on building a factual basis for their cases, helping refugee communities to develop capacity to self advocate and lobby for legal protection, provide legal advice and court representation to refugees and asylum seekers,programme work and report writing.

My duties involve undertaking membership activities such as planning and undertaking trainings and forums. I participate in community conversations in various regions within Tanzania. I conduct training of clients under the self representation programme and provide legal aid services. I draft pleadings and attend primary court sessions. On research and advocacy, i am working on the Constitutional review process, Safe Motherhood and Protection against Gender Based Violence Bills. I also attend donor reviews and participate in networking and coalition meetings on behalf of the organisation.
