I am a freelance consultant and senior advisor passionate about enhancing the rights and vitality of civil society. I help for-purpose organizations develop effective strategies to enable changemakers and positive social change. I am a recognized civil society expert, thought leader and advocate and made significant contributions in the areas of civil society resourcing, civic space and locally-led development. I have a strong background in human rights, international development, and social justice, and count ith over 16 years of management and leadership experience in international non-profit organizations.My approach is grounded in co-creation, nurturing trust-based relationships and catalyzing ecosystems of solidarity to enable systems change. I have asuccesful track record in designing & implementing initiatives that center the lived experience, visions & solutions of traditionally marginlized communities.Highlights from my professional career include:- Leading various initiatives and advocacy efforts at CIVICUS resulting in more flexible funding and support for grassroots groups in the Global South.- Cultivating strong networks and alliances (ex. refreshed CIVICUS' membership strategy, leading to a significant membership increase; stewarded the co-design of Building Responses Together, a network of 20+ international rapid response mechanisms).- Supporting strategy & change management, contributing to the formulation of the CIVICUS strategic framework and successfully co-stewarding the implementation of a new Country Strategy & Single Management Structure for Oxfam in South Africa.- Serving as a member of steering, advisory & working groups in various initiatives (ex. Expert Working Group on Global Public Investment; 2023 #Shifthepower Summit; TheCrowdVersus; WINGS’ Cross-Border Giving Task Force).
