I am a very strong-minded & determined, highly creative & fiercely independent economist & political scientist with a strong background in biology, including in neuroscience (having completed most of the graduate courses required to complete the Master's degree in neuroscience of the Université Laval in Québec, Canada). The previous characteristics guarantee my independence from any dogmatic school of thought as an independent researcher.I develop and promote an #ethics of #biophilia, i.e. 'the passionate love of life & all that is alive' (Psychoanalyst E. Fromm), to sort out the socio-cultural and economic challenges of our current times, including by putting a strong emphasis on understanding the root causes of crises & how they created conditions that are contrary to the proper delopment of both human & all living beings.Relying on complexity theory, I use both social sciences & biology to come up with novel policies & interventions so as to ensure all human & living beings can grow & thrive.I have 25 years of global experience working with communities on the ground, including First Nations communities, and at a public policy level. I strongly oppose social conservatism, political behaviorism, or any other approaches that dampen human independence and freedom, hence compromising our wellbeing & creativity.A pacifist, I believe all human & living beings have an intrinsic value just for the sake of being themselves and alive. As such, I try to always adopt a caring, loving and supportive approach toward others, and help them whenever possible. I also refuse to conduct animal testing in my work, and any work I do in biology will rely on in vitro or in silico (computational) methods.
