In addition, Clara was granted the Biz Awards Africa conferred by World Confederation of Business in Dakar Senegal, which recognizes small business owners who have made a significant impact on an international level. She has also received the Cambridge Who’s Who Awards Entrepreneurial Professional Executive EPE's 2009/2010 and the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) award of the Woman of Year 2011/2012 in the USA. Furthermore, Claire and her designs were featured in one of the Real Housewives of DC’s episode on Bravo TV in the USA.Mrs. Lawson Ames was recognized for her ability to transform materials woven cotton and others natural fabrics into exquisite designs Haute Couture, now part of the Collection Clara. In each of her Haute Couture Creations, Mrs. Lawson-Ames combines the richness of fabrics from VLICSO that uses Dutch Wax technique, Faso Dan Fani that is the traditional woven fabric unique in Burkina Faso, silk and other natural materials to produce what she terms as "The New Face of Africa". Through promoting Faso Dan Fani in her designs, she has made a significant impact on the economic development of Faso Dan Fani in Burkina Faso. All her creations are unprecedentedly original. Her style of combining the traditional with elegant approach of modernity in design and expertise, allows her to strengthen her brand among fashion lovers worldwide. In 2009, she successfully launched her brand in the USA through the concept named "Siren of Sahel I & II" with the theme Discover the New Face of Africa.Mrs. Lawson Ames is also the Founder and President of the non-profit Association for Supporting Development of Art Dressing and Textiles Africans (ASDAVTA).Her vision is to raise greater appreciation and awareness for respect of cultural heritage, and to empower girls/women in Africa through her fashion.
