My journey as a Grand Challenges Scholar has allowed me to tackle critical issues like food insecurity and sustainability while engaging K-12 students in computing education through outreach initiatives.As a research assistant in the Game2Learn Lab REU program, I focused on improving student tutoring systems in the classroom, using data-driven insights to enhance mathematics tutoring software. My role as a NASA Mission Concept Academy Scientist further honed my technical skills and project management abilities through interdisciplinary collaboration on a lunar mission design. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how technology can transform education and strengthened my commitment to empowering the next generation of computer scientists.Beyond my academic pursuits, I have actively engaged in initiatives aimed at enhancing educational accessibility and supporting underrepresented communities. As a STEM Outreach Coordinator, I developed engaging curricula for elementary students, emphasizing computational thinking and robotics. My efforts at the "Reach for the Stars! Be a Star!" STEM Fair focused on engaging K-12 students with disabilities, breaking down barriers to STEM education. Additionally, I coordinated fundraising events with the Grand Challenges Student Organization, fostering community engagement to support educational initiatives.
