Experienced communications specialist with significant experience in delivering high profile projects for donors including UNDP, DFID, EU, SIDA, USAID, and DFAT. 10 years’ experience as a producer for the BBC and other major broadcasters across three continents. Much of my work to date though has been using my broadcast experience combined with my creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking to design communication initiatives to reach young audiences. I am passionate about strengthening environments where young people are given a voice in decision-making. I have a strong track record of developing successful proposals, and delivering creative innovative media projects with significant impact – including a new YouTube show for young people in Cambodia, Papua New Guinea’s first youth radio station Tribe FM and an award winning BBC online ‘How To’ series for adolescents. I played an integral role in the UN’s response during the Covid-19 pandemic in Cambodia. As UNDP’s media specialist, I led the risk communication and community engagement, and conducted large scale research on Covid disinformation and designed program responses to this. I facilitated a four-month media training course for young citizen journalists. My work with UNDP Oslo Governance Centre had a focus on information integrity, concentrated on gendered disinformation and its impact on women's political participation, information integrity in elections and the impact of digital technologies in countering disinformation. I launched a global action coalition on information integrity in elections, which recently published reflections from global electoral stakeholders on how we can promote information integrity in elections.I am currently based in Manila.
