● Taught 250 students, aged 10-18, on the Girls’ Empowerment Self Defense (GESD) 12-hour curriculum in Mission, South Dakota.● Developed and executed a 3-week intensive training on the IMpower program for 90 female Ugandan instructors.● Trained 40 instructors in establishing and maintaining the Survivors In Recovery Anonymous (SIRA) meetings,resulting in the creation of 4 SIRA groups with 20 girls participating in the first quarter.● Monitored and assessed 50 Ugandan female instructors in their classes to ensure curriculum fidelity.● Coordinated with implementation organizations to ensure instructors had the resources and materials to teach theGESD curriculum, reaching 2560 girls and 31 communities within the first quarter of the program.● Liaised with over 100 implementing partner organizations, stakeholders, and government and school officials tointroduce and maintain the IMpower program within their communities.● Arranged travel to visit 50 Ugandan female instructors in over 10 districts in the course of two months.● Introduced NMNW’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) data tools to local partners to streamline and efficiently analyzeproject data.

● Revised GADC’s annual report on its Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for 2017.● Promoted and participated in GADC-led international campaigns on ending violence against women, including One Billion Rising and 16 Days of Activism​.● Documented the outcomes of the Women and Children Consultative Committee’s Engagement with Provincial CSO Networks for Inclusive Development in 8 provinces.● Shadowed the Advocacy and Networking team to understand its advocacy work in the provinces​.

Kapolyo Village, Northern Province, Zambia

● Received 390 hours of formal education in technical, language, safety and security, and cross cultural competencies inpreparation to work and integrate in the Kapolyo catchment area.● Created and facilitated the Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) club, which focused on female empowerment through sexeducation and life skills, targeting 60 school girls.● Conducted over 20 health presentations on various health topics such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, child malnutrition, andbasic hygiene, reaching 470 youths and adults.● Organized a capacity building workshop ​on the different health issues that arose in the community f​ or 30 neighborhoodhealth committee members​.● Assisted in the startup of a Positive Living group for those living with HIV/AIDS, which focused on developingincome generating activities and improving the group’s overall well-being.● Assisted in the monitoring and evaluating of the nationwide distribution of mosquito nets by going door to door toassess whether or not the locals used the nets appropriately, further educating those who did not use them correctly.● Completed a USAID-funded Small Project Assistance grant of $5000 to coordinate a week-long empowerment​ ​programfor 24 school girls with the assistance of 11 Peace Corps volunteers.● Developed an informal and engaging program that focused on topics related to female empowerment.● Partnered with local organizations and individuals to secure funding and invite local mentors for participants.
