Blue Healthcare offer free NHS Health Checks at Work. The service we operate is run on behalf of Lancashire County Council and aims to increase the accessibility and convenience of the free NHS Health Check to employees within workplaces across the whole of Lancashire (not including Blackburn with Darwen or Blackpool Council areas). The NHS Health Check is designed to help reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes as well as diabetes, kidney disease and dementia and takes about 25 minutes to complete. It includes a blood pressure check, a cholesterol check, several body measurements and a brief lifestyle and cardiovascular risk assessment. The NHS Health Check is completely confidential and free of charge to any employee over the age of 40 who meets the eligibility criteria.Not only is our free service a good opportunity to demonstrate that Lancashire workplaces care about their employees, but the preventative nature of the testing may also result in less days lost to ill health. We believe that the service we offer not only promotes physical health, but also supports and boosts mental well-being.
