At Air Marketing Group I work with our client Education Interactive to sell forensic science workshops to schools.

I work as a Team Leader. As part of my job role I deliver the Care Certificate and Inductions to new members of staff, I complete supervisions and offer ongoing support to staff members. I set up work for staff members to undertake, which involves working alongside Devon County Council and parents. I will attend home visits and monitor and observe staff working with Children with Special needs. I will also do some Enabling myself. The role also involves admin tasks and customer service.

As a Trainer/ Assessor it is my responsibility to support learners to complete their qualifications, NVQ/ QCF level 2 and level 3 in Children and young people’s work force, early year’s pathway and Social care pathway. I also deliver training in Functional skills Maths, English and ICT up to level 2. I am responsible for managing my own diary, delivering support to suit learner’s needs and learning styles. Ensuring learners are safe and are treated fairly. I assess and offer feedback to the learner on their practice and work closely with managers. The role also include customer service and admin.

When I left this position I was working as a senior Child Care officer which I had done for 2 years. I was responsible for a house of 12 students aged between 6 and 16.All the students were visually impaired and many had additional needs, requiring a range of care and support. As a team leader I worked closely with staff to provide a happy and safe environment for the students. Working in partnership with parents, teachers and other professionals to promote independent living skills, positive behaviour management, healthy living and well-being. As a team leader I was responsible for supervisions, appraisals and offering guidance and support to staff members. Admin responsibilities included writing and updating care plans, risk assessments, daily logs and communication between staff and other agencies.

I worked as a TA often with children with extra-curricular needs on a 1:1 basis. Then as a Nursery Nurse in charge of a class of 13 3 – 4 year old. Organising and preparing activities which were educational as well as fun.

Working as the Team Leader of the nursery (13 children aged 2 -4).Encouraging fun and laughter through play, art and craft and different sports. Activities organised by myself and the team.

Working with children aged 6 months to 8 years of age promoting physical development through movement, dance and play.
