I’m passionate about people and helping them achieve their goals, this has probably influenced my career choices over the years, from account management to a customer support manager and even a short time as support care worker in between (the most rewarding job!).Moving out of the hospitality and coffee industry and now working in technology for the last 11 years has certainly kept me on my toes, it’s fast paced and ever evolving which is exciting. Working with customers and suppliers to get solutions to issues to enable them to stay connected, especially over the last 2 years has been extremely rewarding, it’s also been challenging at times, like for most of us... but what is it they say keep calm and carry on. At heart I’m logical and strategic planner with a spreadsheet for all occasions (yes holidays are fun) but if I’ve learnt anything this far it’s how be adaptable to ensure the best outcome for our customers and team alike. As an experienced manager, it’s great to help people recognise their potential, gives you a different perspective – well several in fact! My approach is to lead from the front, collaborate across the board and always have an open mind. In fact, my greatest achievement in the last year has been being awarded our internal Customer Service Award as voted by my peers, which was a real honour. Outside of work I’d like to think myself creative, my long-suffering partner may not strictly agree, with all the random art and craft projects dotted around our home. I don’t hear any complaints about my baking ability though although possibly this is invaluable to his survival on our long and lost walks (nope sadly map reading is not my strongest attribute!)
