As the WELL Performance Testing Senior Manager, I am part of the Standard Development Team. Responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise in WELL Performance Verification (PV) program development and contributing to the evolution and maintenance of the WELL Performance Verification Guidebook (PVGB) technical requirements. As the global main point of contact for IWBI’s network of over 500 performance testing agents, I provide deep technical expertise and support to WELL project teams and testing agents. I am responsible for developing and deploying a comprehensive education strategy to increase and maintain competency and quality of on-site testing activities. Additionally, I utilize expertise and experience in on-site testing to influence the improvement of PV coordination efforts, WELL Performance Verification Guidebook published addenda updates, and development of tools and resources to support the performance verification phase of WELL Certification. I have created a standard operating procedure and cross team collaboration to garner insights and measurable metrics of success for on-site testing activities and have facilitated multiple global training events which have increased the global presence of trained testing agents by forty percent in the last two years.

As part of a senior team of seasoned sustainability consultants and commissioning agents at NORESCO, I utilized experience in dozens of on-site performance verification projects around the world to launch WELL Performance Testing as a new service offering. I created all standard operating procedures end to end including acquisition of equipment and financial forecasting of the project pipeline. The service offering includes environmental testing services such as Indoor Air Quality, Water Quality, Lighting Quality, and Acoustic Quality as it relates to health and wellness in the built environment.

GBCI is a (501(c)(6) non-profit) that provides independent oversight of projects pursuing certification under a suite of rating systems including LEED, WELL, SITES, PEER, EDGE and ParkSmart. In this role I was part of the very first WELL Performance Testing Agents for the WELL Building Standard. My experience and feedback provided critical output for the WELL Performance Verification strategies as they are today. Perform extensive on-site testing in compliance with established protocols for water quality and air quality in relation to interior materials. Utilize technologically advanced equipment to gather quality metrics for circadian lighting, daylight harvesting, temperature and humidity, and acoustics related to human health and wellness. Analyze both direct read instrumentation data output and laboratory reports. Verify HVAC and Electrical building system and corporate operations are meet rating system requirements and design intent. Maintain multiple sustainability credentials to ensure current knowledge of best practices in sustainability and business practices. Provide suggested updates to test methodologies and strategies based on field experience. Manage a diverse project portfolio and cultivate client relationships with multidisciplinary customers in the US and various countries including, but not limited to China, France, Mexico, Australia, and Canada. Create and deliver educational presentations to the marketplace at key workshops and conferences.Perform in-depth technical review of design documentation, corporate policies, and facility operations for environmental health and sustainability compliance.
