I am a freelance photographer with over a decade of experience in the photographic industry. I shoot commissions for publications and organisations including The New Yorker, Oxfam, The Guardian, BBC, The Wire, New Statesman, Save the Children and Apollo.I also work on self-initiated long term projects. In 2019 I was the recipient of the GRAIN Bursary Award, which instigated a collaboration with The Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR), where I'm collaborating with a community of 12 oak trees to visually explore how they thrive through connection.In 2015 I began writing to a prisoner on death row in Kentucky. With each letter I create a large format landscape image, which becomes part of his cell walls. We have developed a trusting friendship, and a commitment to continue the collaboration until we're no longer able to.My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including The National Portrait Gallery, Westminster Palace, The Royal Albert Hall and The Midlands Arts Centre. I am currently working with artist Vanley Burke to archive his prolific collection of negatives, shot over the last five decades. The role includes working with Burke in his private space to build an inventory, catalogue and digitise the negatives, and identify themes running through his practice. This project is part of the Feeney Archive Project, supported by the John Feeney Charitable Trust.

As First Year Coordinator I oversaw a cohort of approximately 60 students annually and managed multiple tasks to ensure successful delivery of the course and support for the students. I designed the timetable and lecture / workshop programme across all five first year modules, and managed staff in the implementation of the curriculum. I sensitively managed the pastoral care of our students, and in 2018 and 2020 I was shortlisted for the University’s Inspirational Lecturer of the Year Award.I am also a Visiting Lecturer in Photography at Weymouth College, Hereford College of Arts, the Leica Akademie, and External Examiner at the University of the West of England.

Whilst studying at The Arts University College at Bournemouth I worked for various departments within the institution including Marketing, Human Resources, the International Office, Facilities, The Enterprise Pavillion and The Text + Work Gallery.My roles have included assisting in the planning and co-ordination of events such as graduation, open days and external events, sitting on interview panels as a student ambassador for various staff interviews, assisting with the re-branding of the University College in 2009, building and developing databases for numerous departments, carrying out administrative duties for various members of staff, and working throughout as a Receptionist and Postroom Assistant.

My role at UCB included assessing student applications and offering places, updating the UCAS website to reflect these decisions, and liaising with applicants, students, staff, educational institutions and UCAS to provide and receive information on applications. I also worked individually and in conjunction with the Marketing Department to produce and provide presentations on the UCAS application process to local schools and colleges, and also delivered this information at open days. I also acted as the primary administrator for both the PGCE course, and the postgraduate courses for home and overseas students.

My role at Linder Myers was varied in nature, diversifying between Family and Conveyancing Law. I was required to audio type and copy type documents, including correspondence, court documents and forms, statements and bills. I also drafted correspondence and bills independently, organised Solicitors’ diaries, liaised with clients, lawyers, bankers and conveyancers on a regular basis in order to progress cases, and organised files from commencement to closure.
