Responsible to authorise, check, process and respond to payroll issues for Medical Practitioners across WA Country Health Service. Process payroll variations into the payroll system and time and attendance records according to payroll deadlines, ensuring practices and procedures comply with relevant industrial agreements, Financial Management Act 2006, Department of Health and Health Corporate Network Policies. I undertook quality assurance of Occupancy Officer and New Hire Officer to ensure the work processed was in accordance with relevant practices, procedures and award conditions. I liaised with Payroll Reconciliation and Disbursement Officers, Quality Assurance and Finance Specialists to ensure the delivery of a standard service. I liaised with the Employment Services team to ensure business continuity for all processes and maintained documentation in regards to overpayments and negotiated recovery. I was successful in responding to complex payroll issues, enquiries and audits as required and assisted in developing plans and systems to support the achievement of the unit’s obligations and objectives.
