As a Design Engineer I was responsible for attracting and maintaining clientele consisting of Architects, Lighting Designers and M&E Consultants in the London area.Responsibilities: Managing long-term relationships through interpreting requirements and providing support throughout the working relationship. As a subject matter expert I worked with clients to improve their knowledge base of new and existing products by hosting CPD seminars which attracted large audiences to showcase lighting design principles and highlighted the benefits of the product. I have managed large projects which successfully secured clientele such as a major social media site's HQ in London, commercial premises as well as public sector clients. My role in securing relationships included but was not limited to; project management, technical support, commercial tendering, marketing, after sales support, producing and maintaining reports on key KPI’s.

My main role was to coordinate of a number of key accounts such as Primark, Footlocker, Polo Ralph Lauren and Cath Kidston, by liaising with both contractors and clients directly.Responsibilities: Checking technical drawings in order to generate client quotations, processing and managing orders to ensure that deadlines were met and clients’ expectations were managed efficiently. Establishing rapport with all my clients, contractors and iGuzzini Sales Engineers. Managing three major accounts, Polo Ralph Lauren, Mint Velvet and Wasabi. Promoted to the position of Retail Lighting Engineer in March 2013, as a result of my enthusiasm, success and professional manner in managing these key clients. Initial point of customer contact, this role included attending customer sites to discuss the requirements of both new and refurbished stores in regards to the iGuzzini lighting range. The experience and knowledge gained from working within the Project Co-ordination team ensured that orders were progressed to achieve smooth and timely delivery and maintain and exceed client expectations. In addition to the three key accounts Retail Project Lighting Engineers were expected to actively seek new business from the retail industry, within the UK. Once new business was secured the process of developing the concept, sales progression and final positioning of the lighting concept was also undertaken. A number of skills have been developed through both roles at iGuzzini, namely appointment scheduling, liaising between clients and our office team, as well as our factory in Italy.  Having undertaken both Sales Support and Lighting Engineer roles I have a solid understanding of the need for a collaborative approach across departments. As a result I am able to work efficiently both within a team and individually with the discipline to schedule time, tasks and workload.
