I'd describe myself as a curious, determined and empathetic person who brings a unique blend of technical, communication and work-winning skills. As a senior bid manager with Enerveo, I was a core member of the company's central bid team, focused on managing the process to deliver first class tender responses for strategic business customers. Prior to that I was a business development manager for Hoare Lea's Manchester office - a totally new role at the company where I worked closely with partners and directors and focused on building a structured BD approach based on relationships, knowledge, analysis and insights. I also spent a number of years working in bidding and marketing roles at Hoare Lea where I progressed from Manchester's local bid lead to firm-wide involvement - UK and international. This varied from managing the end-to-end bid process to providing tailored input to specific bids, using my skills in communication, clear thinking, project management, and attention to detail. I made use of my wide network in the firm going back to my engineering days, building rapport at all levels and being recognised as a trusted pair of hands for management, delivery and support/training to others. I like to take the chance to stretch myself and have taken on some interesting and challenging large internal projects over the years, such as project managing a 200-delegate internal conference or the collaborative development of interactive branded Word templates. Throughout my work and life, I really enjoy learning, problem-solving, and feeling connected to people and ideas.
