About Clare Leighton

Marketing professional with experience in strategy and execution across many different areas of IT, telecoms and professional services. I love a challenge. As humans, we're hard wired to remember stories, so here's mine: ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐Ÿญ - ๐—–๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ด๐—ผ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธI currently lead Government and Health Industries at PwC marketing in the UK. Working with national and regional colleagues to deliver thought leadership reports, campaigns, and events. Working on public sector I believe my work matters, if we get it right, we help our clients, and they help us; when we are sick, teaching our children, keeping our streets safe, emptying our bins. I've led on a number of flagship campaigns including, Future of Government and Good Growth for Cities, activated through a partnership with New Statesman. With a background in tech, Iโ€™m a strong believer in technology for good. I took a leading role in integrating the work of Vodafone Foundation into the Vodafone Business value proposition messaging. The projects that Vodafone Foundation runs change and even save lives dealing with domestic abuse, education in refugee camps and setting up emergency networks in disaster areas. ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐Ÿฎ - ๐—–๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜When I'm not working, sport is my thing, I'm either on a netball court playing or umpiring, on the side of a football pitch watching my son or at the gym. I believe in the power of sport to offer opportunities to build skills, confidence, teamwork and friendships, which is why I spent a lot of time coaching my son's football team, until knowing the rules became importantโ€ฆ and went onto to chair the club and manage the annual tournament instead. Service is a value I hold closely, I was a parent governor for several years, ending after a particularly challenging period as chair. I also spent over 100 hours volunteering at two Covid vaccination centres. I have a strong sense of fairness and justice, which means I won't accept status quo, or settle when it's wrong, even though carrying on is long and hard. This can be exhausting, but standing up for the little person is a value I hold dear. I am very aware of the struggles faced by people with mental health problems or neuro diversity in trying to get the support they need and get ahead at work. I am now actively looking for opportunities to help promote diversity and inclusion in every workplace. To learn more or have a chat, please get in touch

Senior Field Marketing Manager Uk And Ireland

Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Us

My role at Citrix involved supporting three vertical sales teams - Financial Services and Insurance, Enterprise, more specifically utilities and central government and Police - with demand generation activities. I look after financial services and insurance, central government and enterprise, which is a mix of different verticals, but I have been focussing on retail and utilities. Iโ€™m responsible for creating the marketing strategy for each vertical, planning, budgeting for and executing campaigns throughout the year using all elements of the marketing mix.No one can promote our products as much as our customers, so where possible, I aim to find a customer who is happy to be a reference and work with them on what they need to become a full blown case study for us and then build a programme around them. A prime example of this is Centrica who are proud Citrix users as the technology, alongside their forward-thinking agile design thinking approach stood them in good stead when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. They were able to scale up and move from 2000 remote workers to 15,000 within weeks. My approach to vertical marketing is to create or update value propositions, create content such as white papers, eBook, infographics and use trade bodies to publish and promote the content. I work with the trade bodies and content partners to create sponsored content, publish webinars and publish blogs so that we start to build our presence.I was delighted to be involved in creating the messaging around the Citrix sustainability and then launching the campaign. IT creates around 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, but Citrix have 4 ways we can reduce them.I worked with a number of systems integrators and cloud partners including Fujitsu, Google, AWS and Microsoft Azure to deliver campaigns out to relevant audiences.
