At GoodChat we are storytellers who aim to make the best social change videos in Australia. As a producer and director I empower the subjects I collaborate with, focusing on impact, communities and social justice. I have the advantage of having worked extensively with the arts sector, which has made me a unique storyteller. I find meaningful narratives that connect with audiences and cut through the noise. I also continue to develop some independent films and series with People Productions. I directed There Goes Our Neighbourhood, a documentary commissioned by ABC with finance from Screen Australia, Create NSW and Pozible crowdfunding. The film captured a community light sculpture project and social action campaign developed with the residents of Sydney's largest public housing estate in Waterloo. The project reached over half a million people, and put a human face to the public housing debate, as questions arise about the redevelopment of inner city estates in Australia and globally. I also produced award-winning theatrical documentary feature, I'M WANITA about 'Australia's Queen of Honky Tonk', a chaotic, talented country music singer who after 47-years takes one last glorious stab at stardom in the USA. An unpredictable story about the chaos of human 'dreams' and Wanita's unique journey to leave her mark (Winner: Best Australian Documentary, Sydney Film Festival 2021; Winner: Best Music Documentary, Raindance Film Festival, London; Nominated: AACTA Awards 2021).I have writing, directing, producing, project management and curating experience. After training in Documentary at AFTRS, I have held various roles as a creative producer, director and researcher for television, digital agencies and independent films.
