As a versatile professional with a passion for community development, communications and marketing, I have dedicated most of my career so far to the third sector, empowering social enterprises and community groups. Drawing on over a decade of diverse experience, I can bridge the gap between bold visions and on-the-ground impact.In March 2023, I joined the Enterprise and Communities Team at CEIS to provide tailored one-on-one business support, helping emerging and growing third-sector organisations thrive in Scotland. Prior to this, I gained invaluable hands-on experience working and volunteering within the nonprofit sector, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of community-led initiatives.Through roles of increasing responsibility, I navigated complex challenges such as legal restructuring, asset transfers, and capital projects. This deep understanding of the social enterprise lifecycle allows me to offer strategic guidance rooted in real-world insights. I can related to balance required to balance the passion that drives mission-driven work with the practical demands of day-to-day operations.Complementing my community development expertise, I also bring extensive marketing and communications experience from my time in the private sector. Supporting innovative tech companies and television projects, I developed a versatile skill set spanning internal/external communications, multi-platform campaigns, website management, social media, and creative content production and service design. Now, I leverage this blend of community-focused and commercially-minded expertise to amplify the impact of social enterprises and nonprofit organisations. I am driven by a deep commitment to contributing to a more equitable and sustainable society.
