• Monitoring key housing related support contracts covering a range of clients – young people at the risk of homelessness, teenage parents, people with substance and alcohol misuse and women fleeing Domestic Violence.• Building relationships with a number of support providers – DePaul, CAYSH, Housing for Women, Ekaya, Catch 22 and Thamesreach to ensure contract performance and compliance.• Re-commissioning of the Teenage Parents service.• Negotiating final contracts including required standards and KPIs.• Developing and issuing the tendering documents for Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Affordable Housing Funding Programme.

• Lead officer for managing the Council’s housing management contracts including a 20 year multi-million pound Private Finance Initiative (PFI) in Brockley with Regenter B3 and the contract with Lewisham Homes, the Council’s ALMO. • Effectively managed a team of 3 to successfully deliver this. • Negotiated any changes to contract scope and chaired regular contract meetings to discuss performance.• Monitored and reviewed monthly and annual Key Performance Indicators to evaluate performance and imposed any financial penalties that were due.• Carried out service reviews and audits to fully evaluate our housing providers’ effectiveness and performance including scrutinising activities such as void management, customer services, tenancy and income management.• Project managed Lewisham’s stock options appraisal on the future of its housing management arrangements, called ‘Housing Matters’, where we engaged with over 5,000 residents through various mechanisms – postal/online questionnaires, roadshows, drop-in sessions, attended established resident groups and set up focus groups.

• Led on developing the Council’s Homelessness and Youth Homelessness Strategy (2009-14) including all engagement and consultation activities.• Carried out many Equality Impact Assessments on new strategies and policies to mitigate an adverse equality impacts, developing any relevant action plans flowing from the findings.• Led on two successful Housing Stock transfers – Orchard Estate and Lee Estates.• Housing’s lead officer on contributing to the Council’s Strategic Housing Market Assessment (2008)• Represented the Council at the Lewisham Homelessness Forum and the South East London Housing Partnership.• Organised five South East London Housing Partnership conferences bringing together officers and stakeholders from Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark.• Co-ordinated and drafted responses to various government consultation papers on housing and housing related issues.• Led and managed research, policy studies and strategy formulation across all areas of the division, including data analysis and benchmarking.• Prepared and presented policy briefings and reports to senior management, committees, forums and scrutiny groups either for decision and/or information
