The SDP was formed in 2021. They commission, fund, monitor and support 27 providers who deliver victim services in Devon & Cornwall on behalf of the Police & Crime Commissioner. This newly formed role included: - Scoped and enhanced a management reporting system including quarterly reports from all victim services, and management reports for the Police & Crime Commissioner including budgetary reporting. - Completion of bi-annual Ministry of Justice data returns on behalf of the SDP and victim services across the region. This included data analysis and trend reporting to inform decisions.- Delivered a Communication Research project including recommendations on how victim services should be communicated in the South West. - Developed and delivered a calendar of conferences, events and training for service providers. - Led a lived experience workstream gaining feedback from victims of crime about their experiences with services. - Developed and maintained administrative processes for the effective running of the SDP including producing contracts for newly commissioned services. - Engaged with stakeholders and partners to develop awareness of the SDP.

Make Amends is Shekinah’s restorative justice service. Commissioned by The Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon and Cornwall, Make Amends is an accredited service provider (RSQM) and accredited training provider (TPQM) that delivers communication between those affected by crime and those people responsible across Devon and Cornwall.This newly formed role included: - Gathering feedback from service users to enhance and improve the work of Make Amends - Regular management reporting and tender writing- Management of the RJ volunteers - Establishing projects and initiatives with stakeholders including the University of Plymouth and local community groups- Delivered and implemented a marketing and communications strategy - Organising RJ training and other administration tasks.
