Rostrum Group Limited is a small fund management company that tried in 2007 to launch an offshore, hedge fund, listed on the Dublin stock exchange. The fund had a “master feeder” structure and was registered in the Cayman Islands. The chief executive was based outside the UK so I undertook all administrative duties for the firm. I coordinated and liaised with all parties involved with the fund set up, including the legal counsel (SRZ), the prime broker (UBS), the hedge fund administrator (Northern Trust) and the auditors (PwC). Due to unfavourable market conditions the chief executive chose not to launch the fund, even though all paperwork and procedures were in place.
