TriFitness is the largest gym facility in the Central Scottish Borders, offering gym and fitness classes to the Borders population. Hosting 60 classes per week, a designated free weights area and almost 100 station gym, it is Borders Sport & Leisure's flagship facility, working in partnership with Heriot Watt University and Borders College (self funded i.e. no subsidy received from local Council).As TriFitness Manager, I have sole responsibility and accountability for the facility. I work closely with Head of Operations, Business Development and Marketing Manager, and Maintenance Manager, to ensure the business is leading the way with fitness innovations and customer service. I am also proud to mention our recently formed partnership with SRU to host the BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy for Borders & East Lothian.With the upcoming expiry of our current equipment lease, I have been heavily involved in and been given experience in writing invite to tender documents for the project.Since I became full time Manager at TriFitness, I have created a customer service oriented philosophy in managing the facility to improve retention, customer experience and member journey. I am responsible for financial year budget planning, targets and adherence and striving to achieve the 10 year business plan. Since commencement of my position, I have increased turnover by 15% in less than 2 years. This was achieved by seeking excellence in customer service and developing a challenging, yet achievable budget with complimentary promotional plan.I manage a staff of 6, including 1 Duty Manager, 3 Health & Fitness Advisors, 1 part-time Receptionist and 1 part-time Cleaner. We also employ 6 casual class instructors and utilise self employed instructors as required.
