I support the Managing Editor with our flagship urology journal and our first open-access journal. The role includes:• Processing the incoming papers, communicating with the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors, sending the papers for peer review and monitoring their progress, and liaising with the authors regarding any issues to meet the monthly publication deadlines• Maintaining and updating the BJUI website content including text, links, videos, images and podcasts using WordPress, sourcing images where necessary• Managing the open access journal BJUI Compass and BJUI supplement issues by keeping track of accepted papers, communicating with the Editors and Production Editors regarding content lists and production schedules• Producing monthly reports of accepted papers to track acceptance vs rejection rates

I provided teaching support to a Y6 class on a volunteer basis. In particular, I taught English to a native Spanish speaker who had recently joined the school. I also supported her through her normal classwork in English and Maths and translated her SATS papers for her.
