I regularly facilitate capacity building workshops; strategic planning, sport policy, safeguarding in sport. I broker complex relationships between local stakeholders, train UK students and professionals with cultural awareness skills to maximise international working.Former Chair of Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace working group, former member of the Commonwealth Advisory Body on Sport ( CABOS), Sport Industry NextGen leader 2015, current member of the International Safeguards for Child in Sport Working Group, Advisor to Safe Sport International and former member of the Anita White Foundation Strategic Advisory Board & current member of the International Working Group on Women & Sport 22-26 UK Steering Committee.My success in operating in sport at the international level is based on my understanding (both academically and as a practitioner) of the complex, connected and ever shifting challenges faced by organisations trying to achieve a lot with limited resources, time and/or capacity; and the broader issues of governance impacting the sector.My strength comes from the recognition I get for working in partnership. I listen, respect international perspectives map out solutions as a collaborator; this is key to success in international working. I pride myself on being hybrid thinker; sharing ideas, connections and networks. Sitting on various Advisory bodies I am regularly invited to deliver guest lectures at UK Universities and international conferences around international sport and development topics. With extensive experience working across sport governing bodies, international federations, international non-governmental organisations, government ministries, private actors and donors, I have found many ways to maximise the potential of sport worldwide.
