The role of Publisher (Australia and New Zealand) entails responsibility for sourcing originating content as well as third party content acquired for the ANZ and global markets; contract negotiation; rights buying and selling (print, digital, audio and other subsidiary rights); and overseeing editorial and production for print and digital formats and representing the company at rights fairs nationally and internationally. The role requires in depth understanding of production schedules and responsibility for department budgets, margins and revenue growth. In addition, I manage the exceptional Australian-based editorial and design team to produce award-winning literary fiction, non-fiction and picture books.
