About Clare Kiernan
I have supported the successful running of original, innovative, animated ads, explainers and branded content. Working with a pool of talented animation directors located across the globe. Each bringing their own distinguished illustration style and experience to the production. I am extremely organised having worked within both busy studios and remotely. Planning the productions requirements closely with the productions director. I understand the production needs, resource accordingly and delegate tasks to the creative team. Including: inhouse animators. directors and freelance teams. Illustrators, character designers/animators, and 2D or 3D animators. I schedule production priorities, phases and milestones creating Gantt charts and/or master spreadsheets. Detailing all elements of production; the storyboard, the animatic, character and scene design/approval, versions, passes/feedback, quality control, audio recording, sound design, final approval and delivery.Day-to-day, I manage animation productions with organisational tools including; TeamGantt, Basecamp, Frame and Streamtime. And I communicate with the team via Slack, video calls and email. Effortlessly understanding and working with company-own management tools when required. Confidently, utilising InDesign to create pitch documents for presentations to new and existing clients. I really enjoy learning and working with new software’s that can assist with the smooth running of the production. I boosted my problem-solving skills from previous experience working in television production and production departments of live multi-arts venues. In a live environment you have to think ahead, always listen and communicate clearly. I learnt fast and this essential production experience was a happy career path to animation production.
