About Clare Coyne

- Counsellor- Ecotherapist- Forest Bathing Guide- Facilitator & trainer- Charity worker - Community workerAs a counsellor and ecotherapist, I offer a therapeutic space - inside or outdoors - that both encourages enquiry and is deeply accepting, paying attention to embodied responses and working in collaboration to unravel patterns and fixed narratives. I believe that kindness and deep listening are at the heart of healthy relationships and these qualities form the core of my counselling work, which draws on person-centred, cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness and nature-based approaches. I also work as a forest bathing guide - #shinrinyoku - in South Devon and experience so much joyful humility walking with individuals and groups amidst the trees, slowing down and taking in the surroundings to enjoy and benefit from the sensory-based immersion.I am passionate about enabling connections and building networks, working in nature and living lightly, as well as proactively, in the face of the climate emergency. I strive to inform all I do with awareness of the deeply rooted inequalities in our society. I have a background of working with young people and communities to support wellbeing, resilience and creativity. As well as counselling, I trained in social work and am qualified in radio broadcast and production. A mindfulness practitioner, I bring the principles of meditation-in-action to my professional and personal life.
