George Washington Leadership Institute Program Manager

Plan and implement professional, leadership, and educational events, which focus on integrating the historical example of George Washington with modern leadership principles for diverse adult audiences: college/university students, federal employees, military, corporate and nonprofit executives, etc.Collaborate with internal partners to coordinate event logistics, marketing efforts, development opportunities, resource management and promotion, and integrated educational and mission-focused initiatives. Work with external program managers, meeting planners, and executives to design and execute events that meet internal and external learning objectives. Manage Leadership Institute faculty to match expertise with client learning objectives and coordinate faculty logistics for programs.In March 2020, transitioned fully in-person programs to virtual platforms during the Covid-19 pandemic, developed new online events and initiatives to reach old and new audiences. Beginning June 2021, re-built program attendance and revenue by transitioning to hybrid and in-person programs. Support partnership with Visit Alexandria in a city-wide collaborative initiative to increase corporate board and executive business in the greater Alexandria area. Serve as Leadership Institute liaison with the Reagan Library for development, testing, and implementation of the immersive learning program The Situation Room: Washington’s Cabinet for adult learning at Mount Vernon. Work with Director to create strategic plans, assemble department reports, and manage department budget. Supervise Program Assistant and volunteers
