During this Summer internship, I developed a message broadcasting REST API for IoT devices to cross-communicate. Started as an ambiguous project, I Co-led the end to end management of this intern project to completion including assessment, planning, design and final deployment on Microsoft Azure for IoT devices to access. To begin with, I considered several key points for the system design:1. The technology I use needs to be resourceful to support future maintenance.2. I want to ship a prototype project before the end of my internship. 3. It needs to be compatible with the current company tech stack for integrating convenience.4. It has to be reliable and has been proved stable so that I can minimize the chance of migrating the system in the future.With the above considerations, I surveyed amount famous tech company for message broadcasting system implementation and landed a decision to use Apache Kafka with ASP .NET Core.Afterward, I start building the prototype system according to the required features. Since missing value happens a lot between IoT devices, I chose MongoDB as our database for its easy usage and missing value tolerability (No-SQL system). With the approval of the design, I draw a dependency diagram to optimize the priority of implementation and scheduled my 2-month developing plan along with other interns.In the end, we finished the project 3 days ahead of my plan and my managers were very satisfied. The project creates a real impact on the company and the senior engineers have been continuing my work since then.

• Through collaborating among multiple stakeholders, designing and conducting numerous experiments, I invented a new approach for standard accessories that retained the radiation performance of smartphone products and successfully completed patent application in 2018.• Using Allegro and OrCAD, I designed the schematic and PCB layout of WIFI systems for three smartphone products that were used by 100K+ people globally.
