As a Graphic Designer, I would work with and report to the Director, Assistant Director and Graduate Supervisors of the Department, and I was responsible for assisting in the creation and design of digital marketing materials that will be displayed across campus, on social media and on digital advertising boards located in the weight room in the Beaman Center. In this position, I had to meet deadlines, create innovative content, attend meetings, and collaborate. I gained further experience with design, and in working with softwares such as Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Also, another responsibility I had under this position was to draw, create, and update the content on the chalkboard. The chalkboard is located at the entrance of the gym, and is used as another way to market and share information to students in an eye-catching and visually appealing way.

Facility Assistants are responsible for assisting with different functions of facility operations that occur at the Beaman Information Desk, in weight room, and other areas within in the fitness center. In this position, some of my responsibilities included: monitor access control for gym, including membership issues & guest passes, know the emergency procedures and responsibilities during emergency situations, enforce policies in regards to facility access, equipment rental, membership requirements and expectations, create and maintain a safe environment through equipment inspection and cleaning equipment, and be a steward of the Department's mission and values.
