The best and simple advice I have carried along my life’s journey has been to always do what I am passionate about. This has guided me throughout my work and personal life. My career has been a combination of learnings and opportunities. I started off my career as an enumerator for the Demographic and Health survey. During this experience, I realized my love for research work and how interesting it will be to discover and learn new things based on data. My interest in research was further enhanced when I got the opportunity to work with lead data analysts. After gaining wealth of experience in survey and project management, I got another interesting opportunity as a team lead in evidence synthesis. My role as a team lead however was as a result of my work experience in generating evidence and gaps on nutrition and gender. My passion for research led me into exploring new roles in gender and governance. The highlight of my work is being able to impart knowledge to my team and seeing them excel in their roles.My career has seen some highlights such as: • Successfully completing an international funded project whilst managing sub-projects in different African regions;• Promoted 3 times in 2 years after having consistently submitted work deliverables in time. My key skills are: Project management, cross cultural communication, leadership, training and capacity building, critical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and time management.Let’s connect.
