Determined to help underprivileged children in my hometown, I proposed creative fundraising projects to my family and friends, who initially hesitated. After emphasizing the dire situation of these kids, I suggested a collaborative effort based on everyone's strengths. This led to the formation of "Meraki Association," with “Meraki” meaning passion, creativity, and love. Over several months, I meticulously organized events, rallied volunteers and donors, and persevered through rejections, but my efforts paid off with successful initiatives like the "HeluvaFest" charity concert, "A Dream For Two" musical production, and the All-You-Can-Donate program. These efforts raised $4,000, along with books and stationery, benefiting impoverished regions and allowing three kids to start school that year.My professional journey commenced with my entry-level position at Nu Skin Enterprise, a cosmetic and pharmaceutical brand, as a sales associate, the lowest starting position. Despite facing a challenging learning curve and a monthly sales quota of 500 products, I put in the effort and exceeded the quota for three consecutive months. This remarkable achievement catapulted me into the role of Brand Representative and receive advanced training in content creation, digital marketing, and presentation.Through college, I garnered a diverse skill set, serving as the vice chair of student services, vice president of the Indonesian club, a member of the strategic communications committee, and landing a job at the International Student Center. In these roles, I learned the art of finding common ground, embracing dissenting viewpoints, fostering synergy, and facilitating collaboration. As I pursue further academic studies at the university level, I have also secured employment at the Office of Ticket Operations and taken on the role of operations officer at the Indonesian Students Association, further enhancing my multifaceted experience and skills.
