Enthusiastic first-generation college student with 3+ years of customer service experience looking for opportunities for growth so that I can become more immersed in the business world. As a first generation American, I have been able to make the most of the opportunities that come my way. I am passionate about helping others through volunteer work, I have volunteered for migrant workers in Bellingham to the homeless in the Greater Seattle area. This shows how I care for those I serve by taking the time to put others needs before my own. I also apply this to my work, by figuring out what will benefit the customer as well as the company. I enjoy working in customer relations because it allows me to interact with all different kinds of people. Through my previous jobs and education, I have been able to adapt to any situation and show my dedication through hard work and discipline. After I graduate from Seattle Pacific University, I am hoping to advance in the financial aspects of a business. I am also looking to build on my leadership skills by taking more opportunities to display my creativity in the workplace. As a finance major, I want to apply my quantitative skills from the classroom and transfer them into the real world. I am looking to join a team that has a strong mission statement, that centers on the betterment of the world and innovating the way a business should support its staff. For my education, my work ethic has proved that I am not a quitter. Being in the Honors College at SCC taught me to challenge myself and showed me what I am capable of. Knowing that I have a support system has helped me become a successful student as well as an easier transfer experience at Seattle Pacific University. My greatest work accomplishment is implementing innovative ideas for sales techniques which proved to create an easier buying experience for our customers. As a student, I am open to the experiences ahead and enthusiastic to make a change.
