This means web servers, email servers, ldap, Kerberos servers, load balancers, web mail systems, web filtering, email filtering, anti-virus servers, blogging servers, web hosting via ftp or a content management system (Lenya and then WordPress) and a private chat server for internal staff communications. I provide both the hardware setup, the software setup and day to day operations' trouble shooting of any of these services including networking issues. My main focus and most of my day to day work is with our email systems, fixing account issues, blocking spam and stopping and tracking down phishering attempts, dealing with compromised email accounts, email spamming attacks.Two years go we shutdown our 20+ year old Linux based email service and migrated our users over to the Office 365 service. This move has brought features we've wanted to supply our users with for many years now. The migration was a relative success and after two years of use, our users have a lot more services to make use of and more flexibility in how they present classroom content to teach students 21st Century skills. Clarica hired me as their system administrator with my main focus being on supporting all the email, file and print services and to migrate the US operations from Novel Netware to Microsoft Windows Server 2000. I ran their Groupwise email system and their Lotus Notes database system along with assisting their Network Engineer with modernizing their local and remote office network infrastructure.

Manage Novell Netware, Windows NT/2000 Server, and Linux servers and file, print, and web hosting services. The file and print services were used from all over campus and provided storage space for all faculty and students on the NDSU campus. I managed the Linux web servers which were used to host all the web sites for the university and it's departments.

Accounting And Computer Science

Studied Accounting and Computer Science with extra courses in Psychology and Sociology. Participated in the work study program working.

Art Teacher Education

Studied the history of Art and Architecture from Greek and Roman times. Studied Geology, Astronomy, and Psychology.
