Grower of native plants for habitat restoration throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Principle specialty is Spartina alterniflora and Spartina patens. I am deeply passionate about the conservation of native species through the ornamental horticulture and landscaping markets. I believe in conscientious practices, utilizing local provenance sources and emulating natural ecosystems whenever possible. Human influence on natural ecosystems is unlikely to decline and we can not set aside enough space to maintain biodiversity in perpetuity. Instead we must seek to adapt how we use the space around our homes and workplaces to better provide services to species other than ourselves. This is the purpose upon which I am building my career.
