Clark has over 30 years of experience in building and managing insurance brokerage operations. He was hired by USI in 2009, as Director of Carrier Initiatives. In 2011 Clark assumed responsibilities for sourcing acquisitions, performing due diligence, and leading post-close integration. Most recently, in June 2018, Clark was asked to assist with growth in the USI Charlotte, NC operation as a Commercial Insurance Practice Leader.Prior to USI, Clark worked for Willis where he managed Finance, Accounting, and Operations for their Southeast Region, covering the corridor from Louisiana to North Carolina. They placed over $1B of annual premiums for Benefits, Surety, Personal, and Commercial clients. Clark started his career at an underwriting desk in 1986 with the Aetna Casualty & Surety in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was quickly promoted to manage distribution for the Aetna’s South Carolina territory. In 1992, Clark accepted an offer to run commercial lines placement for Cameron M. Harris & Co., the largest independently owned broker in the Carolinas. Clark was Marketing Manager and one of five members of the Executive Management Committee. In addition to being the lead negotiator for the agency’s largest clients, he is credited with developing new products for warranty insurance, credit insurance for securitized loan packages, and creating a national program for temporary employment agencies. In 1999, Clark co-founded Access CoverageCorp, Inc., a world-class provider of technology solutions for the insurance industry that was purchased by The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. in October 2001.
