As early as 6 years old, I remember being enamored by linguistics. I didn’t know that word at the time, but I knew I was eager to write poems and stories, discover new art projects, devour books, and learn words in my friends’ native languages.Working with words always elicits my eye for detail and my unwavering curiosity. While some may find details dull, I approach my work as a treasure hunt, uncovering compelling words, visuals, and design flow. A defining moment came when a linguistics colleague emphasized how much my editing skills shaped their academic writing, encouraging me to pursue a career in educational publishing. With my background in bilingual language education, I bring to the table a deep understanding of language, communication, and linguistics. Becoming fluent in Spanish, and exploring Arabic, Greek, and Portuguese, has given me a deep understanding of the inner workings of language. As a result of my multilinguistic pursuits, I have an even stronger command of English and how to communicate ideas impactfully through words, art, and design.All of these things continue to draw me to the world of educational publishing.
