I am the Lead Counsel supporting the business for a publicly traded medical device company. In this role I provide strategic legal counsel directly to senior leadership, including Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations and Compliance. Such areas of legal counsel which I provide in the medical device space include contract drafting and negotiation, fraud and anti-kickback law compliance, patent and trademark, merger and acquisition, privacy (GDPR, HIPAA), marketing program review, employment, and litigation. I am also Assistant Corporate Secretary on many of our legal entities and assist with corporate matters.In my 20 year career I have established and led the legal function of a high-growth company through to acquisition. I am also a registered patent attorney and was previously a partner in an intellectual property boutique law firm. And I have taught law school coursework as an adjunct professor.
