In the area of external relations, I execute and oversees a comprehensive external relations program. Principal responsibilities include:• Increasing the visibility and reputation of the College regionally, nationally, and internationally and building the College’s brand through social media and print publications.• Enhancing existing and building new relationships with a wide range of external audiences including alumni, corporations, government agencies and research facilities.• Liaison with the CEC External Advisory Council• Liaison with Miami University Development and Alumni Relations• Liaison with Miami University Career Services• Works collaboratively with all members of the CEC Leadership Council in developing strategic initiatives and goals.• Represents the College and the Dean in a variety of contexts.In the area of communications, I am responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing a comprehensive program of internal and external communication efforts of the College. Principal responsibilities include:• Managing all aspects of the design, development and execution of an effective communications program for CEC that enhances the visibility and reputation of the College.• Writing or contracting out writing for CEC publications, web site and social media.• Assisting in correspondence with alumni and other external constituencies.• Working closely with the Director of CEC IT, overseeing the content and ADA compliance of the CEC web site.• CEC representative to the Miami University Communications Council.• Assists the Dean in the preparation of presentation materials for internal and external audiences. - Develops long-term strategies to increase philanthropic and volunteer support for the College of Engineering and Computing. - Plans, organizes and implements strategies to increase the level of personal involvement and financial commitment of alumni and friends to Miami University, Oxford OH. - Effect solicitation and stewardship calls to alumni and friends alone and with other staff, faculty, administrators, and alumni volunteers.- Encourages and coordinates involvement of alumni and friends through campus visits and regional events.

Works collaboratively within Career Services as part of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) liaison team to provide a full range of services (from advising students to employer development) to CAS.Conducts career advising with students on topics including career and/or major exploration, career testing, résumé preparation/professional correspondence, job-search strategies, and interview preparation. Commanded an Air Force (AF) Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment. Motivated students to become professional Air Force career officers. Developed training policies involving discipline, military training, administration, and academic progress. Conducted Cadet group, squadron and individual flight inspections, selected cadet staff and commanders, and monitors student welfare. Implemented programs to resolve personal adjustment problems, provided student guidance, and implemented higher headquarters’ directives and policies. Determined aptitude for commissioned service. USAF’s only Net Warfare wing with 1,358 Airmen in 25 locations around the world with execution authority on an annual budget of $72M. Directed 24/7/365 computer net attack (CNA), defense (CND) & exploit (CNE) for DoD warfighters.

Exercised command and control over 1,400 personnel at 8 different locations spread across 64M square miles in the Pacific region with $4B in assets and a $4.8M budget. Ensured assets provided accurate, tailored and timely Information Operation support to Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and United States Pacific Command.

Responsible for national security development and implementation of all international, conventional arms control (CAC) treaties and agreements. Represented the Chairman, JCS within the interagency process to formulate US Government (USG) policy. Member of USG CAC delegations to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
