In addition, my work aims to identify and develop other novel technologies for extremity reconstruction surgery in conflict zones.

My research spans rigid and soft robotics and has involved generous development, benchmarking, and data collection on both 1st and 3rd party robot components (Kinova, UR, Panda Emika, Robotiq). I am proficient in NX with experience in mechanical design and simulation of complex assemblies, and have significant first-hand experience of electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuation, along with sensors and low-volume manufacturing. I also conduct system integration and evaluation in our developed environment using VSCode and a combination of C++ and Python and am familiar with a Linux environment. As part of a small team, I worked on the mechatronic R&D of novel robot grippers, specifically targeting the grasping of challenging objects met in the home. A 6-month project, this included significant first-hand design and prototyping experience and explored both mechatronic and pneumatic solutions, including the software and hardware integration of these prototypes. Pleased with my performance, I was offered a full-time position at Dyson following my internship.

During my internship with BMT Defence I was part of the Combat Systems Design team.I worked within the research and development area designing and creating a number of tools for optimising and analysing combat systems for use on current and future projects within BMT Defence.I learned a number of new skills during my time with BMT Defence, including using advanced MatLab programming, Microsoft Excel and Word. Through meetings with each member of the Combat Systems team I attained a broad background on combat systems and their uses, as well as the Royal Navy, the MOD, and Defence in general.For my generated tools a number of written manuals had to be created to allow for users to understand and utilise the tools to their full potential. During my summers spent working for Isle Utilities I worked on data entry and classification of technologies in the water sector, as well as development of a website for an IFC Water fund and a social application for emerging technologies and investors.I gained experience working as a team, and I learnt about new, emerging technologies and how consultancy companies work.

While working for Thames Water I created a website and mobile application for keeping track of waste water sites and their availability, allowing tankers to be directed to available sites, avoiding wasted journeys.I gained experience in working to deadlines, as well as learning responsibility skills while working solely on a project.

During my time at Atkins I worked on the design of a piping system under a reservoir. I learned a number of skills including completing technical drawings as well as attending meetings and working in an office. I gained experience with working under management and working within a team.
