Assistant Director - Arkansas Chapter
Current• Manage day-to-day operations of Arkansas Chapter, including budget management and providing technical assistance for 450 members.• Led audit of Arkansas Chapter on LGBTQ+ and DEI policies and practices to provide recommendations for Arkansas Chapter to assist minority medical students and physicians in overcoming barriers.• Strategically plan and execute the Chapter's annual conferences, LGBTQ+ virtual symposiums, clinic trainings, and monthly webinar series.• Develop and manage budgets, activities, and evaluations for 12 grants.• Formulate and execute the Chapter's comprehensive communication plan, including website management, monthly e-newsletters, content creation, and management of three social media accounts.• Champion the interests of pediatricians and pediatric patients by advocating in Congress, the state legislature, and state departments.• Recruit, train, and manage over 25 contract employees, six LGBTQ+ Community Advisory Board Members, nine Family Advisors, and three Chapter committees.• Lead fundraising efforts with the organization’s foundation board.• Grew organization budget by 400% through over 12 successful grant applications.• Represent Arkansas Chapter at conferences, working groups, and coalitions.• Played a vital role in the creation of the organization’s strategic plan, blueprint, policy manual, and employee handbook.• Assumed the role of Interim Executive Director during the Executive Director's maternity leave.
