State Bank was formed in 2009 based out of Buckhead in Atlanta, GA. The bank was capitalized with $300 million in investor equity and has since grown to exceed $18 billion in assets with the ultimate sale to Cadence Bank.Clarke joined the bank in 2011 to join a growing CRE team. He lead a team of CRE portfolio managers and analysts that were responsible for vetting, structuring, and monitoring certain CRE senior debt facilities. The bank had a strong desire to grow the balance sheet while maintaining and aligning to a strict credit culture that values properly aligning profitability and risk. Clarke was promoted to a SVP role spearheading new revenue generating opportunities for the bank. New loan production increased year over year during this time. This group was one of the leading profit centers for the bank.

Butler Development Group was formed in 2002 to provide programmatic build to suit solutions to various retailers and operators. During this time the company successfully delivered 160 retail and industrial developments.

Clarke joined Bank of America out of college having been selected into their national Management Training Program. This was a 2 year training program including 30 new Bank of America associates from across the country. After the completion of the training program Clarke stayed on board with the bank to continue working within the CRE group.
