At Qualigence, I worked in the Research department dedicated to open-source business intelligence. In this role, I collected, analyzed and reported all-source business intelligence for various consulting clients and organizations. While there, I also coordinated the development and production of various risk reports and updates in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer including but not limited to in-depth research, RFI's (requests for information), policy analysis, strategic planning, and fact finding. This included work on the 2019 democracy riots in Hong Kong and policy analysis on India’s proposed 2019 Citizenship Amendment bill.I also designed a project that was intended to test a new branch of the organization in my field of political risk with the goal of increasing company revenues and offering new services to existing clients. We projected that the new department would raise $42,000 in 6 weeks with ability to scale. At year end, revenues could increase by $364,000.

During my time with the City of Detroit, I worked as the policy analyst for City Council President Brenda Jones. I was responsible for attending all of the council meetings she did not preside over as the representative for her office. These included:-The Public Health and Safety Standing Committee-The Budget, Finance, and Audit Standing Committee-The Internal Operations Standing Committee-The Neighborhoods and Community Services Standing Committee-The Planning and Economic Development Standing CommitteeI analyzed, monitored, and organized all of the documents and information from these committees into structured databases for the City Council President and her team. We used this information to make municipal public policy decisions for the greater good of the City of Detroit.In this position I was also trained on legislative policy analysis and budget design through the city's Legislative Policy Division and the Mayor Mike Duggan's finance team. I worked on key legislation to redevelop municipal policy on water quality and equity in adherence to the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and international standards.

I volunteered with the Combined Federal Campaign of Southeast Michigan for almost 8 years prior to its restructuring in 2019. I assisted the Michigan Coordinators in gathering and distributing federal fundraising materials and policy briefings across the region. I also collaborated with local US Postmasters to distribute information effectively across federal employee channels.

In 2018, I partnered with the Borgen Project, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for better human rights legislation and initiatives to reduce global poverty. I was responsible for researching the political climate in my congressional district and strategizing on how to best approach Sen. Gary Peters and Rep. Rashida Tlaib concerning the Michigan Team’s supported legislation.

In this project, I partnered with the Detroit Chamber and Michigan Department of the Treasury to analyze and distribute information on local education and financial aid policy initiatives to graduating students. We published daily briefings and reports detailing our research findings throughout the state.

Urubamba Province, Cuzco, Peru

In 2017 I completed my first international project. I partnered with University of Michigan and Pro Peru Service Corps to support better living conditions in the Urubamba Valley of the Andes. I was tasked with researching the cultural nuances of the Runakuna and Mestizo of Peru, as well as advising the students in my cohort about ethical and cultural best practices for grassroots aid and advocacy.
