Manage technical publications staff (editors, graphic designers, desktop publishers) and am responsible for the consistency, style and editing of all technical information and communications technology (ICT) systems industry manuals and other ICT publications. This includes technical content from external writers, internal (editors) and industry subject matter experts (SMEs). I ensure deadlines are met to achieve BICSI's strategic goals. I serve as publications liaison to BICSI's board, committees and panels at conferences throughout the United States. I oversee a 2 million budget.

Editor of Millstone Nuclear Power Station’s daily publication. Responsibilities included the writing and photographing (digital and 35mm) of various internal and external communications subjects, and the composition and design of specialized employee communications. Authored key messages from senior management to employees, composed talking points for interacting with media, and authored scripts for various internal and external video projects. Entrusted with highly confidential information such as nuclear plant condition issues, plant security, and HR objectives. Functioned as Manager of Public Information (MPI) for the Station Emergency Response Organization (SERO). This position included composition of news releases, handling of rumor control, and interacting with media and state officials. Qualified in a wide range of nuclear systems taining (PWR & BWR). Conducted plant tours to the public, and was involved in several community outreach projects.

Responsibilities included the timely processing and distribution of new and updated vendor technical manuals. Tracked the latest revisions to vendor manuals. Processed design changes, tracked procedure reference/approval reviews, maintained vault, and performed other Nuclear Document Services support.

Maintained Controlled Document Library. Ensured all documentation (e.g., procedures, manuals, drawings) were current. Controlled computer databases that tracked latest revisions/changes to nuclear documents. Duties also included extensive auditing of existing documentation and updating as necessary, and the processing of new procedures/changes for distribution.

Subcontracted with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Southern Company Services’ Design Bases Summary Team for Northeast Utilities. Responsibilities included the formatting, technical readability and consistency of 38 design basis summaries required for the restart of Millstone Unit 3. Extensive experience in technical/nuclear terminology, editing, page format and design.

Responsibilities included the overall management, graphic and editorial production of the newspaper. Assigned and edited all articles for grammar and factual content. Ensured staff performed professional requirements for separate sections. Composed editorials, and performed graphic camera work and color separations. Redesigned newspaper to be more informative by way of consistency, graphic and overall appeal. Extensive page layout on IBM and Macintosh systems. Newspaper representation through public speaking, and liaison to governmental bodies.
