• New Product Development - responsible for all aspects of, assigned, engineering projects from concept to commercialization.• Manage development process to meet timelines.• Initial CAD via SolidWorks, detailed CAD maintenance throughout development process, final CAD via SolidWorks & oversee detailed drawings.• Define, document, and communicate CTQ's (Critical to Quality) and specifications via Tech packs.• Manage engineering BOM, warranty BOM and part numbering.• Ensure design alignment throughout development across multiple teams.• Work closely with the international engineering team to execute and problem solve to meet timelines.• Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and work with factories to match design and capabilities.• Responsible for identifying and submitting designs for product improvement changes.• Confers with other disciplines of the company as required to clarify or resolve design problems.• Responsible for the continuous evaluation of existing products for cost reduction opportunities, on an ongoing basis.

•Coordinate Component Pilot and Design Pilot activities by communicating time requirements for development timeline, assisting with procurement of materials, working directly with manufacturing locations to schedule event, and coordinating attendees.•Share feedback from pilot activities with a solution focus.•Assist in leading cross-functional FMEA and DFM events.•Reduce down-stream specification changes by supporting a robust "Design Pilot" to evaluate design prior to finished good specification lock.•Assist with right sizing pilot activities to decrease piloting costs and development timelines, by reducing pilot sample size and number of pilot locations for low-risk changes, without increasing risk to quality or manufacturing.•Drive success by presenting solutions that make products more robust and easier to manufacture within Quality standards. Reduce complexity.

•Responsible for the BOM Traits database integrity for the successful execution of the manufacturing operations in the LEGACY and AUTOMATED plants.•Facilitate and execute every step in the ETL (Extract-Transfer-Load) conversion process of BOM trait data between OHM and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).•Participate in PDM (ERP-MES) development projects in all aspects including conception, design, proof of concept and roll out to production.•Contribute to future product developments and platforming, drive changes in manufacturing by identifying processes that are more efficient.•Works with Industrialization/Process Engineers to ensure labor routings and MES traits are kept up to date. Ensures all ECO’s are analyzed for impact to BOM traits.•Work with Finance Ops and IT/IS to develop enhanced tools for reporting efficiency for all plants.•Developing Standard Operating Procedures, training materials and delivering end-user training as required.•Senior point of escalation for troubleshooting and corrective action for all issues related to BOM traits (LEGACY and AUTOMATED lines).•Engage in special projects as required by business needs.

•Back-up for weekly and monthly POVA preparation.•Understanding of accounting functions, such as Absorptions, General Ledger Adjustments, Inventories, Yarn Substitutions, Roll Forward, etc.•Analysis and recommendations based upon collection of data through the use of reports, observations, and time studies.•Prepare and submit spec change requests•Prepare project proposals for new equipment, modifications and upgrades, including calculating savings and ROI.•Update guidelines used for product costing and accounting.•Generate and understand Efficiency, Utility, Waste and other departmental reports for plant.•Create, calculate and report departmental metrics.•Prepare manual Cost Estimates for comparison.•Prepare capital project recaps.•Work with Contract Services and Product Cost on Cost Sheet development, review and corrections.•Provide departments with engineering support when needed.•Utilize CAD to assist with departmental changes and plant layouts.•Be point of contact and knowledgeable of all plant processes (manufacturing and support).•Serve as Plant Waste Champion.•Lead and be responsible for all Ergonomic improvement efforts for the plant.

•Utilize engineering skills to complete high-priority project work to strengthen the companies’ competitive edge in their market.•Projects include working with a variety of business groups, being immersed in process optimization, and achieving value-maximizing goals.•Work on important projects and help build familiarity regarding manufacturing techniques, process knowledge, product development, customer service, human resource management, inventory control, product transportation, and shipping/receiving procedures.•Help and assist Project Engineer in their role by completing important projects while learning the manufacturing process.

•Design, implementation, improvement, and maintenance support for a comprehensive Material Delivery System (MDS) with a scope of all material movement between processes from receipt of raw material to shipment of finished goods.•Design, populate, execute and maintain a Plan For Every Part (PFEP) for all material from receiving of raw materials to shipment of finished goods. •Implement visual management of all process connections (heijunka, 5S, supermarkets, max/min/reorder, lot formation, managing daily improvement). •Implement schedule attainment tracking for each production area and support problem-solving efforts for the most significant causes of schedule attainment misses. •Assist as necessary with changes to scheduling systems with the goal being to eliminate schedules in most areas (replaced by continuous flow, pull, heijunka, lot formation, etc.). •Work with internal logistics operations to design, implement, standardize and maintain delivery routes and standardized work.•Specify order and implement material storage and transportation solutions. •Assist with implementation of leader standardized work for the Material Delivery System. •Facilitate Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) Events. •Provide Practical Problem Solving training to all logistics employees, sponsor and coach problem solvers. •Design and implement a process for recalculating process parameters (number of kanban, max/min/reorder levels, etc.) when demand (mix and/or volume) changes. •Develop suppliers to enable them to deliver higher quality at lower cost and with shorter lead times. •Assist the Director and with the Materials group and other stakeholders in designing a supplier development process to drive supplier improvement. •Deploy the supplier development process. •Support supplier activities as necessary, to include: Labor Productivity, Cost of Quality, Equipment Productivity, Lead Time reduction, Material Productivity.

•Create or update technical documentation for network installations or changes to existing installations.•Scanning of test documents to make them accessible through the computer.
