Consulted with clients in the defense and technology industries on projects focusing on data capture, web site design and search engine marketing. Responsible for site architecture, page layout, keyword selection and optimization, graphics optimization, content creation, client and server programming, reporting, statistical analysis, and site maintenance for Windows and Unix hosted sites. Created Perl scripts for an integrated search engine, semiconductor IC cross reference part locator, IC part finder, dynamic home page including newest IC datasheets posted and latest press releases, parametric table generation and search, and a custom 404 error page handler that mapped old and non-existent URLs to their current or closest match. Simple typos were corrected using a modified version of Needleman and Wunsch’s seminal bioinformatics algorithm for DNA alignment. Automated transfer of Lotus Notes data into relational SQL Server tables using Perl, XML and DTS.

Supported a national client base in this benefits plan administration business. Developed custom enrollment forms and reports and presented educational material to clients. Completed over $100k of custom enrollment form development work in a five month period by programming utility apps in Delphi. Presented sessions at annual client conferences.

Started as an Administrative Assistant, created integrated spreadsheets that calculated metrics, displayed graphs and provided formatted reports. Promoted to the Flexible Spending Accounts Administrator and implemented the first Flexible Spending Account program. Evaluated prospective systems and implemented in less than 90 days. Responsible for answering written and telephone customer service inquiries. System was used by over 1,000 subscribers, and totaled $1.6 million in FSA elections.Created a disaster recovery program including tape and off-site back up systems. Documented system architecture and claim flows, and provided a budget for computer expenditures.
