Led the Faculty’s development and alumni relations portfolios to advance the strategic plan of the Dean and senior leadership. Advanced the financial and reputational strength of the internationally ranked top 10 nursing school by exceeding fundraising goals and organizing strategic engagement events. Developed and implemented campaign priorities, objectives and goals to align with the Defy Gravity Campaign to achieve an ambitious goal of $35 million as part of the overall $4 billion campaign. Served on both the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing Senior Leadership Team, the University of Toronto Senor Advancement Leadership Team and the Major Gift Threshold Working Group, examining policies and developing recommendations for the new campaign.

Collaborated to create and deliver upon an ambitious and strategic five-year plan for annual and leadership giving to increase engagement and giving across the university, resulting in an annual revenue increase of 25% and averaging over $13,500,000. Worked in partnership with nearly 30 distinct divisions, conceptualizing their missions into integrated and innovative communications and creating compelling cases to donors for new and renewed philanthropic support. Served on the Division of University Advancement Stewardship Working Group to review policies, research best practices and make recommendations to the Vice President, Advancement and the Principals and Deans Advancement Advisory Group.

Secured significant philanthropic support and increased leadership annual giving revenue to $2.5 million a year through thoughtful cultivation, superior solicitation and tailored stewardship. Identified and solicited donors to establish the Michael Wilson Society – exceeding the first-year goal of $1 million within the first six months. Partnered with mental health professionals and high-level volunteers to engage and inspire prospects and major donors.

Identified, cultivated, solicited and stewarded a portfolio of over 150 leadership donors while exceeding goal. Collaborated with internal and external partners at the Faculty of Arts & Science and Victoria College to create and execute successful annual and leadership solicitations. Managed donor experience within Victoria College’s 175th Anniversary alumni events.

Built effective partnerships with a variety of complex clients such as St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, Amnesty International and TVO. Consulted on budget, annual giving, strategic communications, planned giving, monthly giving and staff campaigns to maximize revenue, build loyalty and grow each charity’s donor base. Established internal systems for meeting deadlines, tracking, follow-up, monitoring and reporting on progress.

Coordinated annual renewal and upgrade solicitations for Partner level donors giving $75-$1,499. Supervised an internal telefundraising team. Produced unique events and experiences to engage donors and prospects.

Stewarded President’s Council donors and fostered strong donor relationships by providing exceptional customer service. Worked with the Canadian Opera House Corporation to coordinate annual solicitations and capital asks. Provided professional and strategic support to volunteer members of the President’s Council committee.
