Bespoke lighting design for the high street.• Over 6 years playing a part in taking the company’s growth from 2 customers to 9 with over 600 SKU’s• Designing, developing and building product ranges both speculatively and to customer briefs, primarily for manufacture in the Far East. • Taking a key role in development meetings and regular communications with retail buyers to discuss requirements. • Mentoring / coaching new staff to develop their skills and expand their knowledge of our customers and lighting manufacturing.• Interpret and analyse customer requirements. Deciding on suitable materials and resources whilst considering feasibility and commerciality in the current market.• Creating sketched through to fully rendered designs.• Creation and presentation of concept boards.• Making sample mock-ups for internal and customer meetings.• Investigating new materials, techniques and manufacturing expectations.• Working closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure we are achieving our goals both aesthetically and on price for each brief.• Reviewing samples against product specs and feeding back to suppliers. • Responsible for showroom design and layout.• Visits to European and UK trade fairs to develop seasonal trend feedback and forecasts for internal use and customer presentations. • Accounts handled: John Lewis, Laura Ashley, Homebase, Mothercare, GLTC, Debenhams, Graham & Brown, Urban Outfitters, Heals.

Working closely with Creative Director on various lighting projects. Developing new concepts, visuals and presentation pages ready for customer meetings plus product specs ready to send to factories.
